WOLFONT FONT LICENSE AGREEMENT

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement” or “EULA”) is a legal agreement between you, the purchaser, downloader, user, company, organization, or client (“Licensee,” “you,” or “your”) and Wolfont / Wolfont Studio (“Wolfont,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding the use of any font software, font files, typefaces, webfont files, documentation, and related digital assets purchased, downloaded, or otherwise obtained from Wolfont (“Font Software” or “Font”).

By purchasing, downloading, installing, copying, accessing, or using the Font Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not download, install, copy, access, or use the Font Software.

The rights granted to you depend on the license type selected at checkout or stated in your invoice, order confirmation, license certificate, or written agreement.

1. Ownership

The Font Software is licensed, not sold. Wolfont and/or its licensors retain all rights, title, ownership, copyright, intellectual property rights, design rights, and all other rights in and to the Font Software.

Purchasing a license does not transfer ownership of the Font Software to you. You receive only the limited rights expressly granted under the license you purchased.

You may not claim ownership of the Font Software, the font design, the underlying letterforms, the font files, or any derivative font files.

2. General License Terms

Unless specifically allowed by your purchased license, you may not:

  1. Share, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, distribute, upload, or otherwise provide the Font Software to any third party.
  2. Make the Font Software publicly downloadable.
  3. Modify, rename, convert, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, edit, or create derivative font files.
  4. Create a competing font product, alphabet pack, SVG alphabet set, letter bundle, or typeable font product based on the Font Software.
  5. Upload the Font Software to online editors, template generators, design tools, logo makers, print customization tools, or Canva-like platforms unless expressly permitted by your purchased license.
  6. Use the Font Software for artificial intelligence training, machine learning, dataset creation, model training, text recognition systems, or any AI-related dataset usage unless expressly granted in writing.
  7. Allow end users, customers, website visitors, app users, or third parties to access, download, extract, install, or reuse the Font Software.
  8. Use the Font Software beyond the quantity, pageview limit, user limit, project limit, campaign limit, title limit, store limit, domain limit, territory, or scope purchased.

All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved by Wolfont.

3. License Types

Your permitted use is determined by the license type purchased. If your intended use is not clearly covered, you must contact Wolfont before using the Font Software.

3.1 Desktop License

The Desktop License is for local installation on desktop computers to create graphics, documents, and static digital or printed assets.

Permitted Uses

With a Desktop License, you may use the Font Software to create:

  1. Logo concepts and non-trademark logo designs.
  2. Posters, flyers, banners, brochures, catalogs, business cards, stationery, and similar graphic materials.
  3. Organic, non-paid social media posts.
  4. YouTube thumbnails and standard cover graphics.
  5. Album covers, book covers, greeting cards, invitations, and similar static artwork.
  6. Printed designs for personal, client, or small business use.
  7. Exported or flattened artwork such as JPG, PNG, PDF, SVG outlines, or printed artwork, provided the Font Software itself is not included or extractable.

Prohibited Uses

The Desktop License does not allow:

  1. Commercial print environments or large-scale printing business usage.
  2. Webfont embedding or use on websites.
  3. eBook, ePub, or digital publication embedding.
  4. App, game, software, SaaS, or server embedding.
  5. Server installation or automated generation.
  6. Editable templates for resale.
  7. Print-on-demand products for resale.
  8. Paid digital advertising campaigns.
  9. Broadcast, film, TV, OTT, cinema, or streaming production.
  10. Trademark registration of a logo.
  11. Sharing, reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Font Software.
  12. Uploading the Font Software to online editors, template generators, or Canva-like platforms.
  13. AI training, dataset creation, or machine learning usage.
  14. Modifying, renaming, converting, or creating derivative font files.

3.2 Web Font License

The Web Font License is for embedding the Font Software on websites using @font-face or webfont files.

Permitted Uses

With a Web Font License, you may:

  1. Use the Font Software on one or more licensed websites or domains according to the selected quantity or tier.
  2. Use the Font Software in website headings, menus, buttons, landing pages, blogs, product pages, and web layouts.
  3. Self-host webfont files on the licensed website.
  4. Use the Font Software on commercial websites, personal websites, portfolios, and e-commerce websites.

Prohibited Uses

The Web Font License does not allow:

  1. Use inside apps, games, SaaS, desktop software, mobile software, or other software products.
  2. Use in eBooks, ePub files, or digital publications.
  3. Server-side generation of images, PDFs, dynamic previews, or dynamic text.
  4. Allowing website visitors to type, customize, download, or generate designs using the Font Software.
  5. Use in online design tools, logo makers, template editors, or print customization tools.
  6. Sharing or redistributing the Font Software.
  7. AI training or dataset usage.

3.3 E-Pub License

The E-Pub License is for embedding the Font Software inside digital books and electronic publications.

Permitted Uses

With an E-Pub License, you may:

  1. Embed the Font Software in ePub, eBook, digital magazine, digital comic, or electronic publication files.
  2. Use the Font Software in one or more publication titles according to the selected quantity or tier.
  3. Use the Font Software in commercial or non-commercial digital publications.
  4. Use the Font Software in cover text, chapter titles, body text, or decorative typography inside the publication.

Prohibited Uses

The E-Pub License does not allow:

  1. Use on websites or web apps.
  2. Use inside apps, games, software, or SaaS products.
  3. Use in editable templates or print-on-demand products for resale.
  4. Use in server-side document generation.
  5. Sharing, extracting, or redistributing the Font Software outside the publication.
  6. AI training or dataset usage.

3.4 POD & Editable Template License

The POD & Editable Template License is for using the Font Software in print-on-demand products and editable templates sold to customers.

Permitted Uses

With a POD & Editable Template License, you may:

  1. Use the Font Software in print-on-demand products such as t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, stickers, posters, wall art, cards, and similar products.
  2. Use the Font Software in editable templates sold through marketplaces such as Etsy, Creative Market, Canva templates, Templett, Corjl, Shopify, Gumroad, or similar platforms.
  3. Use the Font Software for one or more licensed stores, shops, or brands according to the selected quantity or tier.
  4. Sell final products where the Font Software is part of the final design.
  5. Sell editable templates as long as the Font Software itself is not distributed to customers.

Prohibited Uses

The POD & Editable Template License does not allow:

  1. Giving customers direct access to the Font Software.
  2. Allowing customers to install, download, extract, or reuse the Font Software outside the purchased design or template.
  3. Uploading the Font Software to public template generators without proper protection.
  4. Using the Font Software as the main resellable asset by itself.
  5. Selling alphabet packs, font packs, letter bundles, SVG alphabet sets, or typeable font products derived from the Font Software.
  6. Using the Font Software in apps, games, websites, server tools, or SaaS products unless separately licensed.
  7. Trademark logo registration unless a Trademark Logo License is also purchased.
  8. AI training or dataset usage.

3.5 Trademark Logo License

The Trademark Logo License is for using the Font Software in a logo, wordmark, or brand mark intended for trademark registration or official brand ownership.

Permitted Uses

With a Trademark Logo License, you may:

  1. Use the Font Software to create one or more logos or wordmarks according to the selected quantity or tier.
  2. Register the final logo or wordmark as a trademark.
  3. Use the final outlined or static logo for brand identity, packaging, website graphics, social media, signage, and marketing.
  4. Deliver the final outlined logo artwork to a client.

Prohibited Uses

The Trademark Logo License does not allow:

  1. Claiming ownership of the Font Software itself.
  2. Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Font Software.
  3. Creating a derivative font from the logo or letterforms.
  4. Using the Font Software across an entire company as a working brand font unless a Desktop, Corporate, or other relevant license is also purchased.
  5. Embedding the Font Software in websites, apps, games, eBooks, servers, or software.
  6. AI training or dataset usage.

3.6 Digital Ads License

The Digital Ads License is for using the Font Software in paid online advertising campaigns.

Permitted Uses

With a Digital Ads License, you may:

  1. Use the Font Software in paid ads on Meta Ads, Instagram Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube Ads, Google Ads, Pinterest Ads, marketplace ads, and similar platforms.
  2. Use the Font Software in static image ads, short video ads, carousel ads, display banners, and campaign creatives.
  3. Use the Font Software for one or more campaigns according to the selected quantity or tier.
  4. Use the Font Software for commercial promotion of products, services, brands, music, events, or content.

Prohibited Uses

The Digital Ads License does not allow:

  1. Broadcast TV, film, cinema, OTT, or large streaming campaigns.
  2. App, game, software, webfont, or server embedding.
  3. Editable templates or print-on-demand resale products.
  4. Trademark logo registration.
  5. Sharing or redistributing the Font Software.
  6. AI training or dataset usage.

3.7 Starter Business License

The Starter Business License is a bundled license designed for new businesses, small brands, and startups that need multiple font uses in one simple and affordable package.

Permitted Uses

With a Starter Business License, you may use the Font Software according to the selected tier. Unless otherwise stated in your invoice, order confirmation, or license certificate, the Starter Business License includes:

  1. Desktop License usage.
  2. End products for sale.
  3. Use by the number of users included in the selected tier, such as 5, 10, or 20 users.
  4. Webfont use on one website with up to 100,000 pageviews per month.
  5. Use in one E-Pub or electronic publication title.
  6. Use in paid digital ads up to 3,000,000 impressions.
  7. Use in one trademark logo or wordmark.

Prohibited Uses

The Starter Business License does not allow:

  1. Claiming ownership of the Font Software itself.
  2. Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Font Software.
  3. Creating a derivative font from the logo or letterforms.
  4. Using the Font Software beyond the included user, web, pageview, E-Pub, advertising, logo, or project limits.
  5. Embedding the Font Software in apps, games, software, servers, SaaS products, or other uses not included in the Starter Business License unless separately licensed.
  6. AI training or dataset usage.

If your business exceeds the Starter Business License limits, you must upgrade to the appropriate license or purchase a Corporate License.

3.8 App / Software / Game License

The App / Software / Game License is for embedding the Font Software inside apps, games, software, SaaS products, or interactive digital products.

Permitted Uses

With an App / Software / Game License, you may:

  1. Use the Font Software in one app, one game, one software product, one SaaS product, or one digital product according to the selected quantity or tier.
  2. Use the Font Software in UI, menus, buttons, splash screens, HUD, dialogue boxes, in-game text, onboarding screens, and software interface elements.
  3. Use the Font Software in mobile apps, desktop apps, web apps, SaaS products, Unity games, Unreal games, Godot games, mobile games, PC games, or console games.
  4. Include updates, patches, and minor version updates of the same licensed product.

Prohibited Uses

The App / Software / Game License does not allow:

  1. Using one license for multiple unrelated apps, games, or software products.
  2. Allowing end users to access, download, extract, install, or reuse the Font Software.
  3. Using the Font Software in a design editor, logo maker, template generator, or tool where users can type or export designs using the Font Software.
  4. Server-side generation unless a Server License is purchased.
  5. Webfont website usage unless a Web Font License is purchased.
  6. Print-on-demand or editable template resale unless separately licensed.
  7. AI training or dataset usage.

3.9 Server License

The Server License is for installing or using the Font Software on a server for automated generation, rendering, or processing.

Permitted Uses

With a Server License, you may:

  1. Install the Font Software on one or more licensed servers according to the selected quantity or tier.
  2. Use the Font Software for server-side generation of PDFs, invoices, reports, certificates, images, previews, mockups, or personalized output.
  3. Use the Font Software in internal production systems, automated design systems, print workflows, or backend rendering systems.
  4. Use the Font Software for commercial or internal business automation.

Prohibited Uses

The Server License does not allow:

  1. Allowing public users to access, download, extract, or install the Font Software.
  2. Using the server as a public font distribution system.
  3. Online design tools, template generators, logo makers, or user-facing customization tools unless specifically covered by a custom or Corporate License.
  4. Using the Font Software in apps, games, websites, or eBooks unless separately licensed.
  5. AI training or dataset usage.

3.10 Broadcast & Film License

The Broadcast & Film License is for professional video, film, television, broadcast, OTT, cinema, and large-scale streaming productions.

Permitted Uses

With a Broadcast & Film License, you may:

  1. Use the Font Software in films, short films, documentaries, TV shows, TV commercials, music videos, trailers, opening titles, credits, lower thirds, broadcast graphics, and streaming productions.
  2. Use the Font Software in one or more productions according to the selected quantity or tier.
  3. Use the Font Software in commercial and non-commercial productions.
  4. Use the Font Software in promotional graphics directly related to the licensed production.

Prohibited Uses

The Broadcast & Film License does not allow:

  1. Paid digital advertising campaigns outside the licensed production unless a Digital Ads License is purchased.
  2. App, game, software, website, ePub, or server embedding.
  3. Editable templates or print-on-demand resale products.
  4. Trademark logo registration.
  5. Sharing, reselling, or redistributing the Font Software.
  6. AI training or dataset usage.

3.11 Corporate License

The Corporate License is for company-wide, department-wide, enterprise, agency, team, or large business usage according to the selected plan or custom agreement.

Corporate License terms may vary depending on the selected plan, invoice, written quotation, or custom agreement.

Corporate Basic

Unless otherwise stated in the order confirmation or written agreement, Corporate Basic may include:

  1. Up to 50 users.
  2. Up to 1,000,000 web pageviews per month on one website.
  3. Up to 3 E-Pub titles.
  4. Use in one POD shop.
  5. Up to 3,000,000 digital ad impressions.
  6. Use in one trademark logo.
  7. Use in one software, app, or game project.
  8. Broadcast & Film usage for national or streaming production.

Corporate Pro

Unless otherwise stated in the order confirmation or written agreement, Corporate Pro may include:

  1. Up to 100 users.
  2. Up to 10,000,000 web pageviews per month across up to 3 websites.
  3. Up to 20 E-Pub titles.
  4. Use in up to 10 POD shops.
  5. Up to 10,000,000 digital ad impressions.
  6. Use in up to 10 trademark logos.
  7. Use in up to 5 software, app, or game projects.
  8. Broadcast & Film usage for worldwide or cinema production.

Corporate Unlimited

Unless otherwise stated in the order confirmation or written agreement, Corporate Unlimited may include:

  1. Unlimited users.
  2. Unlimited web pageviews.
  3. Unlimited E-Pub titles.
  4. Unlimited POD shops.
  5. Unlimited digital ad impressions.
  6. Unlimited trademark logo usage.
  7. Unlimited software, app, or game projects.
  8. Broadcast & Film usage for worldwide or cinema production.

Corporate Permitted Uses

With a Corporate License, you may use the Font Software for:

  1. Company-wide or department-wide usage according to the selected plan or custom agreement.
  2. Multiple users, teams, branches, subsidiaries, or vendors if included in the agreement.
  3. Brand identity, internal documents, presentations, marketing materials, packaging, ads, websites, campaigns, social media, and corporate communications, as defined in the agreement.
  4. Internal DAM systems, brand portals, shared asset libraries, or controlled internal distribution if included in the agreement.
  5. Custom usage rights, extended coverage, or enterprise terms when approved in writing by Wolfont.

Corporate Prohibited Uses

The Corporate License does not allow:

  1. Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Font Software as a standalone product.
  2. Making the Font Software publicly downloadable.
  3. Creating derivative fonts or competing font products.
  4. AI training, dataset creation, or machine learning usage unless explicitly granted in writing.

4. Client Work and Third-Party Use

You may create final, static, non-editable artwork for clients if permitted by your license type. However, you may not provide the Font Software to your client unless the client has purchased the appropriate license.

If a client needs to install, edit, use, embed, or otherwise access the Font Software, the client must purchase their own license.

Agencies, freelancers, studios, and service providers are responsible for ensuring that their clients have the correct license for the intended use.

5. Web, App, Server, and Online Tool Restrictions

The Font Software may not be used in any environment that allows end users to type with, customize, download, extract, or generate output from the Font Software unless the purchased license specifically allows such use.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Online design editors.
  2. Logo makers.
  3. Template generators.
  4. Print customization tools.
  5. Website builders.
  6. SaaS design tools.
  7. User-facing preview tools.
  8. Automated public rendering tools.

Any use of the Font Software in such tools requires a separate custom license or Corporate License approved by Wolfont in writing.

6. AI, Machine Learning, and Dataset Prohibition

You may not use the Font Software, font outlines, glyphs, letterforms, previews, specimens, exported letters, or any derivative output for:

  1. AI training.
  2. Machine learning.
  3. Dataset creation.
  4. Generative model training.
  5. OCR model training.
  6. Font recognition training.
  7. Any automated system designed to replicate, imitate, learn, or generate typefaces or letterforms.

This restriction applies to all license types unless Wolfont grants explicit written permission.

7. Backup Copies

You may make a reasonable number of backup copies of the Font Software for your own internal archival purposes, provided that all copies remain under your control and are not shared, distributed, uploaded, or made accessible to third parties.

8. Transfer and Redistribution

You may not transfer, assign, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, share, upload, or distribute the Font Software to any person, company, client, customer, platform, or third party except as expressly permitted in writing by Wolfont.

9. License Upgrades

If your usage exceeds the limits of your purchased license, you must purchase an appropriate upgrade before continuing the expanded use.

Examples of usage requiring an upgrade include:

  1. Additional users.
  2. Additional websites or domains.
  3. Higher web pageviews.
  4. Additional E-Pub titles.
  5. Additional apps, games, or software products.
  6. Additional logos for trademark registration.
  7. Higher ad impressions.
  8. Additional POD shops or template stores.
  9. Server-side generation.
  10. Corporate, enterprise, or multi-team usage.

10. Free Fonts and Freebies

Free fonts, demo fonts, trial fonts, or promotional downloads from Wolfont are still protected by copyright and remain subject to this Agreement unless a separate license is provided.

A free download does not mean the Font Software is public domain, open source, or free from restrictions.

Free fonts may have limited permitted uses. If you intend to use a free font for commercial, trademark, webfont, app, server, POD, template, advertising, broadcast, or corporate usage, you must ensure that such use is permitted by the applicable license.

11. Refunds

Because Font Software is a digital product, all sales are generally final once the file has been downloaded, accessed, or delivered.

Refunds may be considered at Wolfont’s discretion in cases such as duplicate purchases, technical delivery problems, or accidental orders where the Font Software has not been downloaded or used.

No refund will be granted if the Font Software has been downloaded, installed, used, or if the issue is caused by lack of software compatibility, failure to read the license terms, or use outside the purchased license scope.

12. No Warranty

The Font Software is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Wolfont does not guarantee that the Font Software will meet every specific requirement, work with every software application, or be free from all errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wolfont disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wolfont shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, production delays, or reputational harm arising out of the use or inability to use the Font Software.

Wolfont’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the applicable license.

14. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect until terminated.

Your license will automatically terminate if you violate any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Font Software and delete all copies from your devices, servers, systems, backups, and storage locations.

Termination does not limit Wolfont’s right to pursue legal remedies for unauthorized use, infringement, or breach of this Agreement.

15. Audit and Proof of License

Wolfont may request reasonable proof of license if there is a suspected unauthorized use or license violation.

You are responsible for keeping your invoice, order receipt, license certificate, or written agreement as proof of your license.

16. Governing Law

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or stated in a separate written agreement, this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith communication between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to the appropriate court or legal forum.

17. Changes to This Agreement

Wolfont may update this Agreement from time to time. Updates will apply to future purchases and downloads.

The license terms active at the time of your purchase generally apply to that purchase, unless an updated agreement provides additional rights or benefits.

19. Summary

This Agreement is designed to protect both the creator and the user. You are welcome to create beautiful, commercial, and professional work with Wolfont fonts, as long as your usage stays within the rights granted by your purchased license.
